So lets get started with the first Fujitsu P-2000 guide about how to upgrade the subnotebooks memory.

Dissembling the P-2000 Before installing Memory

Unlike a lot of full sized notebooks there is no port on the bottom of the P-2000 for the memory to quickly slip into. Installing additional memory on this little notebook it is a little more time consuming, but not overly complex. The red arrow points to the one screw you will be removing, but first the battery should be taken out.

There are two small slides which get pushed towards the center of the notebook in order to release the battery.

Pull the battery out and put it aside until you are finished with the installation.

The memory socket is on the other side of the notebook, under the keyboard but before the keyboard will come loose one small screws needs to be removed.

Any small phillips screw driver can be used to remove the screw, just don't lose it. When the memory installed you will need to put the screw back into hold the keyboard firmly in place.
